Renovated club reopens for training

Fioretto is very proud to announce completion of Stage 2 of its renovation project. This stage sees the hall reopening with a dedicated training space design that makes the hall both safer and more efficient for our members. The remodelling towards an open floorplan design has created a auxiliary training space for training dummies and drills practice, as well as removing seating and bag storage from the main hall, improving the main hall training capacity by 40%. For years we have struggled with overcrowding and no we can look ahead to working in a bigger, safer space. And as the design comes from the membership, it is a much more sports specific environment.
It has taken us 3 years to get to this point, and $310,000.00 of hard earned club savings. The goal has always been to make Fioretto Hall a safe and productive training space for our membership. The first stage saw the removal of legacy building materials with stable asbestos, the complete rewiring of the original electrical system, and a new roof, ceiling and lighting for the main hall. Stage 2 has designed the club rooms, removing walls and reducing no essential spaces to reflect usage and a new paper free operating environment.
There has been a big demand on our volunteer base this year to make this happen, including parents and cares, with moving club equipment and supplies to and from storage units, trips to the tip, cleaning and more moving and organising. We couldn't have done this without our wonderful community. A special mention goes to August Deng who helped save the club a substantial amount of money by polishing the floor of our new auxiliary training area free of charge. A massive solo effort given to the club out of gratitude for everything the club's volunteers and coaches do for its members. A beautiful gesture - thank you!

There is still some shaking down to do as we fit out the renovated space, but we are very excited about opening in 2026 with a fresh new training space and so many new opportunities. It is a very exciting time and we look forward to welcoming many new participants to our sport.
